Who is "Raptor Judy" you ask?
RJ was an online personality that I created almost a decade ago when I decided to change my online handle for the first time ever. I wanted something that was me, but also wasn't me. I wanted something rough, but cute. So, I came up with “Raptor Judy” taking my love of dinosaurs and sticking with at least part of my original handle, which was "JudyFuckingJetson." I kept that Tumblr name for years, and eventually went on to use it on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Reddit…. You know it. Speaking of which, have I mentioned yet I’m a social media addict? Well, used to be anyways. I guess I grew out of that, although I still have my favorites (don’t worry Twitter, I’ll never leave you).
When it came time to start the blog (again) instead of sitting here trying to think of yet another handle to create, I just simply checked the RJ handle and luckily, no one stole it in the few years I hadn’t used it or had it associated with any of my networks.
RJ is just a name, not the person. I kept it this way so you, as the readers, can have an unbiased opinion on what I write about (unless you’re one of the few who personally knows me and follows this site). If you’ve been here long enough you can see that this blog has no particular theme, I tend to write about things haphazardly, expressing my opinions on various subjects that nag my brain. Dreams, frustrations, health, and yes of course, my small town that I have a constant Love/Hate relationship with.
